If you made the repair from the inside (for the leak on the bottom of the boat) then maybe it would not get chipped off when going over rocks? Maybe also use a larger amount and cover a larger area too?

So I was going to try to make a removable seat that uses the rod holders aw a mount with 1 inch pipe and a 60 degree mount for a flag pole on each end that's attached to a 2x8 cut to the width of the yak, and mount a seat to that. Do you think having the seat a little further back would change much about how it floats? It's an extra seat for my kiddo as well.

Great design. The only thing for me is that the mount sits way too high. It would interfere with casting from the right side. Why did you do it so high?

I agree.. Oct bass fishing in AZ on the rivers is the best as I fish the lower Salt quite a bit. What were you throwing? I have great success with 4" senkos on a dropshot, spinnerbaits and topwater towards dusk
